Fedrigoni 366 calendar

BRIEF

'Fedrigoni 366' calendar is a collaborative project involving designers, illustrators and photographers from throughout the UK – organised by Fedrigoni, a specialist in producing fine paper for printing, bookbinding, packaging and paper products.

SOLUTION

The calendar brief is purposefully restrictive, inviting contributors to design a number, in one colour and within a specific size. Our design for December interprets the number 10, made from a microscopic slide. We wanted to celebrate the fact the calendar was being printed on one of the most environmentally-friendly coloured ranges on the market, Woodstock.

Taking a scientific visual approach we showcased the environmental credentials. Woodstock is formed with 80% recycled and 20% FSC® certified virgin fibres. In addition the book has been Carbon Balanced.

IMPACT

The result is a gloriously diverse tome of designs from 366 designers. One that will keep you occupied for hours, leafing through the spectrum of colourful pages that make up this year’s Fedrigoni 366 Calendar. 500 copies of the book was sold with profits going to Shelter.
